Thanks to everyone who entered the Worm Story Competition. The entries were geographically diverse, informationally impressive, creatively stunning and the spelling wasn't bad either.

The judging panel took a while to make some difficult decisions, but they've finally stopped arguing and are pleased to announce the winner:

Good on you, Nicole. Your in-depth understanding of intestinal worms left the judges very impressed and only slightly nauseous. I'm ironing my best shirt and signing lots of prize books in preparation for my visit to your school in a month or two.

There are also two runners-up. In second place, Samantha Townsend-Mackie from NSW. And in third place, Ben Kremer, also from NSW. Well done, both of you.

We'll be having another competition later this year, so watch this space and don't lend your brain to anyone who might not return it.
