Hope you're having a relaxing holiday if you're reading this in the southern hemisphere or a mild winter if you're reading this in the northern hemisphere. Either way, if there are some books involved, hope you're enjoying them.

Among my holiday reading was a novel for teens and up called Luna-C. I enjoyed it partly because the author, Jutta Goetze, is a friend of mine, and partly because it's a really unusual and moving story about a young woman managing a rock band, which is what Jutta did once before she became a writer. Because none of my books are based on personal experience, I was fascinated to see how Jutta turned a part of her life into a story. If you come across Luna-C, it's worth a look.

I won't be reading any more novels for a while because I'm about to start writing a new book, and I prefer not read other stories while I'm writing one of my own. Sometimes the character I'm writing about gets mixed up with the character I'm reading about and I end up horribly confused. I've got several books waiting to be written, and I've got to decide now which one to do next. I'll let you know next time.
