G'day #68    29 August 2005

G'day.

29 August 2005

If you're looking for some of the real-life stories that inspired me to write Once, you've come to the right place.

You might as well have a squiz now, because I haven't got much else to tell you this month. I've been flat out travelling around Australia talking to readers, journalists and morning television hosts about Once, and my brain and suitcase are both a bit battered.

Oh, hang on, there is one thing. If you're reading this in London or thereabouts, you might like to know that I'm coming to Britain in October, and I'll be appearing at The Word Festival at the Polka Theatre in London on the 8th. Here are the booking details...

Date: Sat 8 October 2005
Time: 11.30am
Where: Polka Theatre, 240 The Broadway, Wiimbledon, London SW19 1SB
How to get tickets: Phone 020 8543 4888 (from the UK) or book online at www.polkatheatre.com

I think that's all for now. I've got another 10 days of travel and talk, then it's back to the writing desk and my good friends Aristotle and Blob, the two heroic nose germs who are trying to stop a war in my next book, Aristotle's Nostril. But more about that next month...

Until then, oo-roo and happy reading,

Morris
