Born.

1954

First tooth.

1958

Started school.

1961

Bought first book (about exploration in the Antarctic).

1962

Joined public library (Antarctic books were expensive even then).

1969

Came to Australia with my family.

1971

Started writing course at Canberra College of Advanced Education (thought I could save even more money by writing my own books).

1974

Got job at ABC-TV.

1980

First child born (best thing that had happened to me up till then).

1985

First book published (almost as good).
